Today you board your scheduled safari flight from Johannesburg to the Mashatu Game Reserve for your two night safari. Mashatu is true Africa – a wild and rugged landscape of savannah, open plains, sandstone outcrops and riverine forests. It offers great game viewing with a strong chance of seeing large herds of elephant and many of the predators such as lion or cheetah. Mashatu Tented Camp, is an exclusive and intimate camp of seven twin tents. This idyllic camp is rustic but comfortable, with good beds, en suite facilities, a boma for evening dining and a plunge pool to cool off in during the day.

Day 2 : On safari at Mashatu
You enjoy a game drive immediately after early morning tea/coffee, as the animals rise early to hunt in the cool of the day. The two to three hour drive ends at breakfast, keenly appreciated after your early morning start! After breakfast, you can opt for an guided walk into the bush, or you can simply relax around the lodge during the heat of the day. A late afternoon game drive will introduce you to some of the nocturnal animals and predators before enjoying at atmospheric dinner back at the lodge. Game walks and drives are augmented by mountain-biking or horse-riding for the fit and adventurous! You may also like to explore some of the ancient ruins, reminiscent of Great Zimbabwe.

 Day 3 : Flight to Johannesburg
After a final early morning game drive and brunch, you board your scheduled safari flight back to Johannesburg.
