This afternoon you may like to play an optional round of golf on the 18 hole course at Steenberg.

Day 2 : Day at leisure
Day at leisure to enjoy sight-seeing in and around the city of Cape Town. You may like to play an optional game of golf on one of Cape Town's many courses such as lovelly, scenically one of the best courses on the Peninsula. The lovely colonial clubhouse enjoys a slightly elevated position above the course, which takes full advantage of its coastal setting - note the deep sand dunes, which encroach upon the fairways. It has more undulations than others and wind also plays a significant factor.

Day 3 : Golf at the Royal Cape
This morning you have a round of golf booked at the 18 hole golf course of the Royal Cape. The oldest club in South Africa founded in 1885, the Royal Cape has a sense of history and tradition. It lies in the shadow of Table Mountain and has a flattish parkland layout. The afternoon is at leisure for sightseeing and relaxing.

Day 4 : Golf at Milnerton Links, 2 nights, Erinvale Golf Estate & Hotel, Winelands. Bed & Breakfast
This morning you enjoy a round of golf at Milnerton before leaving for the Winelands. Milnerton is one of only two true links courses in South Africa with superb views of Table Mountain across the bay, especially from the 19th hole. Afterwards you continue to the Winelands, an area of exquisite beauty with rocky mountains overlooking green vineyards. Oak avenues lead to elegant Cape Dutch wine estates and some of the most charming towns and villages in South Africa. Erinvale Hotel offers superior accommodation also around an original Cape Dutch homestead.

Day 5 : Golf at Erinvale
This morning you enjoy a round of golf on the Erinvale Golf course. This American-style parkland course was designed by Gary Player. The course has two distinctly different nine holes to challenge the enthusiastic golfer. The setting is stunning with the Hottentot Holland mountains as a backdrop. Again water and bunkers feature heavily with the additional challenge of the gradients! It has a driving range, putting green and chipping green for practice.
After the golf you have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the Winelands - perhaps visit Stellenbosch and one of the smaller wine estates for some wine-tasting.

Day 6 : Golf at Arabella Golf Estate, 1 night, Western Cape Hotel, near Hermanus. Bed & Breakfast
Today you take the scenic coastal road towards the cosmopolitan former fishing village of Hermanus, which boasts some of the finest land-based whale-watching in the world from August to November, as well as spectacular mountain scenery and lovely sandy beaches for swimming and surfing. You stay overnight at the immaculate Western Cape Hotel set in the Arabella Golf Estate. You enjoy a round of golf this afternoon. The sweeping grandeur of the mountains & lagoon backdrop complements the design of this 18 hole championship course. The Altira Spa and Wellness Centre also offers superb treatments as well as sauna, steam room, brine pool, gym, Jacuzzi and hydro-pool.

Day 7 : Continue to Garden Route for afternoon golf, 3 nights, Fancourt Hotel, George. Bed & Breakfast
Today you continue through the rolling wheatfields of the Overberg to George and the Fancourt Country Club where you spend three nights. Enjoy a round of golf at Fancourt this afternoon. Keen golfers would have time to get in an optional twilight game of nine holes if they so wish.

Day 9 : Golf at Pezula and afternoon at leisure around Knysna
Today you drive to Knysna to enjoy a round of golf at Pezula Golf Estate, which has a spectacular setting on the top of the Knysna Heads with views of the Indian Ocean, the Knysna Lagoon and the surrounding Outeniqua mountains. Afterwards you have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the attractive little town of Knysna on the edge of the glorious Knysna lagoon. Perhaps take a boat cruise on the lagoon followed by some time to browse in the many arts and craft shops, or alternatively enjoy a few Knysna oysters besides the lagoon.

Day 10 : Golf at Fancourt. Fly to Durban, 3 nights Zimbali Lodge, Dolphin Coast. Bed & Breakfast
After breakfast you enjoy a final game of golf before dropping off your rental car at George Airport i time for your domestic flight to Durban. On arrival at the Durban airport you collect a rental car and drive to the exclusive Zimbali Lodge, on the Natal North Coast (40 mins drive). Day 13 : 2 nights, Phinda Forest Lodge, Phinda Game Reserve. Full Board & Game Drives
This morning you travel north to the large and varied Phinda Resource Reserve, which lies between the rich game-viewing terrain of the Umfolozi-Hluhluwe National Park and the lovely St Lucia wetlands area. This reserve boasts five different eco-systems and rangers whose enthusiasm for eco-tourism and conservation knows no bounds. Dine around the boma under the African night sky. There is also a wide variety of activities on offer; game walks, canoeing, boats trips, scuba diving and beach trips. Spend two nights at the Phinda Forest Lodge.

Day 14 : Game viewing at Phinda. Full Board & Game Drives
The following morning as the animals rise early, to hunt in the cool of the day, you will generally take your game drive immediately after early morning tea and coffee. The drive finishes in time for a late breakfast which will be keenly appreciated after your early morning activity. After breakfast if you wish, you can go on a guided walk into the bush with a ranger, or you can simply relax around the lodge during the heat of the day. The pattern for the rest of the day is similar to the day before with lunch and a late afternoon game drive. This might be mixed with a river cruise if you wish.
