Day 1 : 2 nights Cape Heritage Hotel, Bed & Breakfast On arrival in Cape Town in the morning, you are met and transferred to the Cape Heritage Hotel where you stay for 2 nights.
This afternoon you meet your walking guiide for an afternoon city walking tour. We start at Signal Hill and then walk through via the ?signal guns? and the picturesque Bo-Kaap area into the city where we walk up Government Avenue, past the Company Gardens and St George?s Cathedral and de Tuynhuis ? the President?s home. We end the afternoon back at the Cape Heritage Hotel.
The Cape Heritage is in a historic city area close to the Bo-Kaap quarter. Originally an 18thcentury townhouse, it's full of character and charm with wide wooden floorboards, lovely hallways, solid oak doors and large sash windows. All rooms are individually decorated and the superior rooms & suites are particularly special with Cape antiques and original features. All have king-size beds, spacious bathrooms with bath and shower, air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD players and minibar. As an integral part of Heritage Square, you have direct access to six restaurants, wine merchants, art galleries, jewellers and fine craft and fashion shops.
Your evening is at leisure to enjoy one of the many restaurants adjacent to the hotel.

Day 2 : Full day tour and walk to the Cape Peninsula including picnic lunch Today is a gentle introduction to walking in the Cape as well as a scenic delight. You travel along the spectacular coastal road to the Cape of Good Hope National Park.
Here you enjoy a short walk (1½ to 2 hours) around the ?Hoek van Boobejaan? before continuing to the lighthouse at Cape Point. From the high vantage point at the Cape Point Lighthouse it is possible to see where the warm Mozambique and the cold Benguela Currents converge. From Cape Point you continue to naval town of Simonstown. Time permitting you visit the penguins at Boulders Beach.
Evening is at leisure.

Day 3 : Full Day Walk on Table Mountain, River Manor, Bed & Breakfast Depending on the fitness of the group, we will either climb up Table Mountain or take the cable car and enjoy a walk on the top of Table Mountain. From this point the 360° panoramic view includes Table Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, the Cape Peninsular, False Bay, the Hottentot and Du Toits Kloof Mountains and Cape Town and her suburbs below. A pre packed lunch will be supplied.
The longer walk is from Constantia Neck to the top of Table Mountain via Maclears Beacon. This is a 5 to 6 hour hike plus stops and involves a fair degree of ascent, even though this is the gentlest route up Table Mountain. You then descend via the cable car.
The shorter walk is from the top of the Upper Cable car station to Maclears Beacon and back along the front edge of the ?table? with stunning panoramic views of the city below. You then descend via the cable car. (2 to 2½ hours)
After the walk, we take a late afternoon transfer to River Manor in Stellenbosch in the Winelands, an exquisite area of rocky mountains overlooking green vineyards. Oak avenues lead to elegant Cape Dutch wine estates and some of the most charming towns and villages in South Africa. The pleasure of this region is the enjoyment of the good life: appreciating the wine and the unique Cape architecture; savouring long, lazy meals at one of the many excellent restaurants; debating the merits of the latest award-winning vintages; or browsing in the craft studios and art galleries. River Manor has a quiet riverside location in a peaceful avenue of oaks, and yet it?s only a two minute stroll to the museums, street cafes, restaurants and art galleries of the historic centre of Stellenbosch. In this owner-run lodge, bedrooms are stylishly furnished combining a colonial style, with antique pieces and interesting artefacts, with a modern African twist. Facilities include telephone, television, minibar, ceiling fan, complimentary sherry & port and air-conditioned rooms on request. Two swimming pools and well-equipped Gingko Spa in the gardens complete the restful ambience.
Evening is at leisure.

Day 4 : Vineyard Walk After breakfast you enjoy a walking tour of Stellenbosch. We walk along the tree lined Dorp Street, also famous for its many historical buildings and visit Oom Samie Se Winkel; a typical old Dutch style general store as well as the Village Museum. This is followed by a vineyard amble to a picturesque wine estate for lunch and some sampling the excellent wines of the estate. You meander back to Cape Town in the late afternoon.
