Day 1 : 1 night, Bagatelle Ranch, Kalahari Desert, Full Board
Leave Windhoek and travel south to Bagatelle Game Ranch in the Kalahari Desert to stay overnight. Here you can experience the unique Kalahari with its magical sunsets, stunning landscape and dramatic colours. Although classified as desert, the Kalahari has abundant tree and grass species which results in plentiful wildlife. Afternoon game drives and sundowners and early morning desert walks are included. Full Board and Activities.

Day 2 : 1 night, Canon Lodge, Fish River Canyon, DBB
Continue, via Quiver Tree Forest, to the Fish River Canyon. Second in size only to the Grand Canyon in the United States of America, the Fish River Canyon is one of the world?s great natural wonders. The Canon Lodge stands proud amongst great granite boulders, 20km from the awe-inspiring Fish River Canyon. It offers sunrise walks, morning hikes to the nearby Quiver trees and rock formations, horse riding and a delightful sundowner drive. Thatched en suite chalets have unique natural rock walls. An old farmhouse is the lodge restaurant with a terrific view of the canyon landscape.

Day 3 : 1 night, The Nest, Luderitz, DBB
After a sunrise excursion to the canyon, we drive through the desert until we reach the charming fishing town of Luderitz. Nearer to Luderitz, the sand dunes can clearly be seen. You stay at the Nest Hotel, which is situated on the beach for one night. The rooms are all sea-facing, have air-conditioning, bathrooms en-suite, satellite TV, radio and telephone.

Day 4 : 1 night, Dabis Guestfarm, Helmeringhausen, DBB
This morning we visit the eerie ghost town of Kolmanskop. We continue through the home territory of the feral horses and on to the southern farming country of Helmeringhausen to stay at Dabis Guestfarm. Dabis is a typical Namibian sheep farm where you will get an insight into the daily activities of running such a farm. You can enjoy a sundowner on the top of a mountain overlooking the vast landscape, witnessing the harsh scenery change under the brilliant sunset and go on night drives with a spotlight. Dinner at night will be a typical Namibian grill under a clear African sky.

Day 5 : 2 nights, Sossusvlei Lodge or Kulala Desert Lodge, Near Sossusvlei, DBB
We continue northwards to Sossusvlei Lodge where you will stay for two nights. En route we come across the curious Duwisib Castle, built under extraordinary conditions by an eccentric and love-struck German army officer. Further north we skirt the Namib Desert until we come to Sossusvlei Lodge. Accommodation is in en suite rooms consisting of adobe walls shaded by canvas roofs. Dinners are alfresco and there is a swimming pool.

Day 6 : Explore the dunes at Sossusvlei
You rise with the sun to see one of the most exhilarating sights in Namibia - the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, some of the largest in the world, rising more than 1000 feet above the desert. Many of our visitors lose their hearts to Namibia after seeing Sossusvlei. This is paradise for the photographer, as the shadows create a magnificent contrast of colours. Marvel at the gemsbok and other animals that manage to survive in these dry conditions. The energetic can climb one of the dunes for a panorama of the endless dune landscape and the changing play of light. The afternoon at leisure.

Day 7 : Return to Windhoek
This morning there is an opportunity to have a sunrise hot air balloon over the dunes (at extra cost). From your lodge, you take off at dawn for a superb ride over the rippling sands of the desert before a champagne brunch wherever the balloon lands. After breakfast we return to Windhoek via the Naukluft mountains.
