Day 1 : Transfer to Blaauwbosch for 3 nights on safari, Full Board & Game Drives
You will be collected from Port Elizabeth airport by our representative and transferred to Blaauwbosch for a three night stay. Blaauwbosch private game reserve lies in the Karoo bushveld of the Eastern Cape approx 1¼ hours drive from Port Elizabeth. Though part of the malaria-free Greater Addo National Park, its remote location on the wide open Karoo plains is part of its attraction. It's particularly known for its cheetah breeding project though open-vehicle game drives offer a wide variety of game including lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino, cheetah, zebra, antelope, abundant birdlife and rare flora. Guided bush walks, star gazing and bird-watching are other activities you may enjoy at Blaauwbosch. This exclusive lodge has just seven spacious air-conditioned suites, all exquisitely decorated in an elegant, romantic style with generous bathrooms, dressing area and verandas with views of the Eastern Cape mountains - even from the bath! The main homestead has an open plan design giving a modern, yet slightly colonial feel. It's very spacious with open fires, lots of sitting areas and a well-stocked library (with internet access). Blaauwbosch has a family suite, which is slightly larger and has two attractive mahogany bunk beds, which would sleep two children up to the age of 12 years. There is also a second en suite bedroom under the same roof so that you can take it as a two bedroom family suite. Blaauwbosch is ideally suited for slightly older children of 6 or 7 years upwards as there are no separate children's drives for younger children. However you can book a private landrover for your family giving you extra flexibility.

Day 2 : 2 full days on safari (Day 2 & 3)
You generally take your game drive immediately after early morning tea and coffee, as the animals rise early to hunt in the cool of the day. The two to three hour drive finishes in time for a late breakfast, which will be keenly appreciated after your early morning start! After breakfast, you can go on an optional guided walk into the bush with a ranger, or you can simply relax around the lodge during the heat of the day. Outside there's a furnished covered veranda, a feature common to the Eastern Cape, overlooking the large swimming pool with its partially shaded sun terrace - perfect for the hot summer afternoons.

After afternoon high tea, a late afternoon game drive will introduce you to some of the nocturnal animals and their predators before enjoying at atmospheric dinner back at the lodge.

Day 4 : Return to Port Elizabeth
After a last game activity and breakfast, you are transferred back to the Port Elizabeth airport in time for your onward travel arrangements.
