Day 1 : 2 nights Semliki Safari Lodge.
Depart Kampala or Entebbe for the Semliki wildlife reserve, in the basin of the Western Rift Valley. Following dinner, take a spot-lit night drive in search of genet, serval and big cats.

Day 2 : At Semliki
Take a boat trip on Lake Albert to see the incredible and rare Shoebill, stopping for a picnic lunch by a waterfall. In the late afternoon, take a game drive and watch the sun set with a cold drink.

Day 3 : 2 nights Queen Elizabeth National Park
Leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park. 2 nights at Mweya Safari Lodge, a large, first class safari lodge, overlooking the Kazinga Channel or at Jacana Lodge. Relax at the lodge and then take a boat trip on the famous channel, returning to the lodge early evening. The boat trip will allow you to experience wildlife up close where hippos grunt, buffalo linger in the shallows and a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the river's edge.

Day 4 : At Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 4 - In the morning, set of on foot to track chimpanzee in Kyambura Gorge. Continue with a guided walk in the mysterious Maramagambo Forest, visiting the bat cave and forest lake. After lunch, visit the flamingo lakes in Kyambura Game Reserve and then continue through the park back to the lodge.

Day 5 : 1 night Mantana Lake Mburo Tented Camp.
Drive through some glorious scenery to Lake Mburo National Park, an extension of the Tanzanian plans with big herds of zebra, impala, eland and other ungulates. Relax for a little while before taking a dugout canoe on the lake.

Day 6 : 2 nights Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel.
Day 6 - An early start for a guided bush walk, breakfast at camp, then head back to Entebbe. En route, stop at the Equator and, time permitting, a craft market.

Day 7 : Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary
After an early breakfast, cross by boat to Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary (see below). Return to the mainland for lunch before going on to the Entebbe zoo. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon to relax.

Day 8 : Transfer to Entebbe Airport
Transfer to the airport for flight home or onward arrangements.
