K Family, Great Britain: report on Hluhlwe River Lodge 5*

"All the arrangements worked perfectly, thank you for organising it all so carefully. Within 24 hours of leaving home we were on a game drive in Hluhluwe, seeing almost every animal we could think of! The rooms [at Hluhluwe River Lodge] were lovely; the children particularly loved their huge four-bedded room. We walked from the lodge to the St Lucia lake, and we visited a cheetah breeding project where we held baby servals."

"Again one of my favourite lodges in South Africa. I would strongly recommend it as an alternative to the Mozambique lodges if you are short of time or disinclined to fly. It is quite staggering that on this pristine stretch of 200km of beach, there are only two lodges; Rocktail Bay and Thonga Beach Lodge."

"I really enjoyed our stay here and would strongly recommend a three night stay if at all possible. Families who like outdoor pursuits would enjoy a four night stay.
Very child friendly with separate children’s dining area which doubles up as a children’s playroom
The hotel’s clientele is a mix of people just wanting to chill out, families and keen walkers."
