Notes:	We have given two prices here – a price per person and a sample family price as this safari holiday is ideal for both couples and families.

This simple South African bush and beach holiday is a relaxing holiday break in KwaZulu Natal. We think that it’s ideal for both honeymoon couples and also for families, albeit with perhaps a different choice of accommodation.

Thus for honeymoons, we suggest 3 nights on safari at Phinda Forest Lodge (with an upgrade to Phinda Vlei or Phinda Rock Lodge if you want to treat yourselves). This is followed by 5 nights at Thonga Beach Lodge on the Maputaland coast with its white sandy beaches, lush tropical vegetation and diving/snorkelling opportunities. Inland you can enjoy sunrise canoeing on Lake Sibaya or relaxing sundowners on the lakeshore.

For families, we recommend Phinda’s family friendly game lodge, Phinda Mountain Lodge which even has a couple of interleading suites now for slightly larger families. Afterwards, depending on your family’s size you head to Thonga Beach Lodge or Rocktail Bay Lodge.

You can easily combine this Bush & Beach safari holiday with some time in Cape Town or even Victoria Falls.
