Ulusaba Rock Lodge has a glamorous feel about it - there’s a strong element of theatricality about Ulusaba Rock. So if you are into understated luxury then Ulusaba Rock Lodge may not suit you. The ten opulent rooms and suites are decorated in luxurious African style with handcrafted furnishings and each has a private wooden deck with panoramic views. The 7 cliff rooms are stylishly designed, some on two levels. The two Makwela suites are exquisitely furnished with bedroom, sitting room, small study and outside a large deck with private plunge pool. The two bedroom Rock Suite is ideal for families or three adults travelling together.

The flamboyant exciting décor is coupled with unobtrusive service and an exceptional range of facilities: the swimming pool is at the top of the lodge a confection of cascading waterfalls and pools. To the side is glass walled and well-equipped gym which has a stunning panoramic view of the bush. Between game drives you might opt to nurture body, mind and spirit in the 'aroma boma' with a range of indulgent body and beauty treatments. Under the hill there’s even a tennis court with shaded viewing deck if you want to run off a bit of Ulusaba’s delicious food.

Children are very welcome with either extra beds placed in the roomsor you can take the two bedroom family suite (Rock Suite). Children of six and older are welcome to participate in game drives. Younger children can enjoy a shorter drive in an enclosed vehicle at your request. There is a downstairs lounge at Rock Lodge which doubles as the unofficial children’s play area. Here there’s a TV with wildlife DVDs available, loads of toys and board games on offer. Baby-sitting is also available at no extra cost.
