Best time to go:	Mid March to September is ideal. Guests check into Plains Camp on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and so this safari is available on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays (as we have a night at Safari Lodge first).

This three night luxury walking safari combines the best of both world’s with one night at Rhino Post Safari Lodge where you can enjoy 4x4 game drives in a private concession of the Kruger National Park followed by two nights on a walking safari using Plains Camp as your base.

You will never forget the moment when, crouched low in the aromatic golden grass beside your armed game scout and guide, you watch elephants cross the river towards you! A walking safari is gentle ambling so it is suitable for any adventurous adult. Each day, you enjoy a three to four hour morning walk tracking rhino, elephant bulls and buffalo herds, as well as learning how to identify tracks, insects and a variety of birds. Discover more about the Kruger’s habitats and ecology as you walk through the African bush.
