Jock Safari Lodge was the first private game lodge in the Kruger National Park and is situated between Malelane and Skukuza in the southern section of the Kruger. Its closest gate is Malelane, about one hour away. The theme of Jock Safari Lodge is set by the famous animal classic written at the time of South Africa's gold rush, Jock of the Bushveld. The lodge has exclusive traversing in its own private concession in the southern part of the Kruger with Big Five sightings on offer.

Jock Safari Lodge has a romantic colonial charm infused with elements of Zulu and Shangaan culture. Luxury chalets conjure up the gracious style of old world elegance in this unspoilt wilderness. Each of the 12 chalets has a private sala, romantic bathroom and outdoor shower overlooking the riverbed. Animal sightings can be enjoyed whilst relaxing at their charming rock swimming pool or from your own private game-viewing deck. Game drives in open landrovers offer the thrill of close encounters with Africa's Big Five.

Children are welcome at Jock Safari Lodge and one child under the age of twelve years may share with their parents. Children under the age of 6 years are however not permitted to join the game drives. Jock Safari Lodge has a TV room / library with DVD's, videos, and games for children.

About 800 metres from the main lodge, lies Little Jock which is of exactly the same standard but with only four suites so that it is ideal for a family party.
