Description

You depart Port Elizabeth in the morning for Grahamstown where you enjoy lunch. After lunch you have a fascinating historical tour with Alan Weyer learning about the Eastern Cape Frontier wars. You enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at 7 Worcester Street, a boutique five star hotel. The following morning is at leisure to enjoy a walking tour of the attractive town of Grahamstown before you are transferred to your game lodge in time for lunch. At Bayethe Tented Camp on Shamwari Game Reserve, you enjoy game drives with experienced and informative rangers in open landrovers as well as fascinating game walks. We have suggested two nights but you can also opt for three or four nights for a leisurely safari experience.

We have suggested Bayethe Tented Lodge but essentially the Spirits of the Past safari can be combined with many of the Eastern Cape game lodges. We especially recommend Kwandwe, Shamwari, Lalibela, Kariega and Amakhala Game Reserves given their relative proximity to Grahamstown. Contact us for a quote.

This tour is ideally combined with a holiday along the Garden Route ending in Port Elizabeth
