The Klein Krakadouw Hiking tour is one of four trails which comprise the Cederberg Heritage Route . The Cederberg Heritage Route is the collective name for some community-based walking trails in the Cedarberg mountains ranging between 3 and 6 days. The trails make this beautiful area accessible to walkers via the use of charming community guest cottages in the Moravian Mission villages of Heuningvlei, Brugkraal and Wupperthal on the eastern side of the Wilderness area and Clanwilliam guesthouses on the western side. The trails are fully inclusive: you are escorted by local community guides whilst your overnight luggage is taken to the next night’s stay.

The three night Klein Krakadouw Hiking Tour is ideal for people wishing to enjoy a long weekend in the mountains with a late afternoon arrival on Day 1, 2 full days of walking on Days 2 and 3 and an early morning departure on Day 4. Its ideal for friends or families with older children - we recommend from 9 or 10 years upwards but younger children have also done it happily.
