Once again, overall, the best guest house we stayed at in South Africa. It is just superb with wonderful hospitality. Our room, the french style garden, the location, staff, displayed art, views etc…were excellent. There is also good secure parking. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip, and that took some doing. We thoroughly enjoyed our four days there, despite the Cape Doctor wind that was quite fierce for about 24 hours. At least the boutique has an extremely comfortable lounge area. It is possible to order food from local restaurants at night and this is set out in the breakfast room. A very good arrangement and saved us going to local restaurants one night. However taxi fares are very reasonable and it is less than the minimum charge of 20R to get to most local restaurants. Staff at 4 Ros. can recommend a good and reliable local taxi firm that we used. We were particularly impressed that the drivers always waited until we were through the 4 Ros. gate before they left. For us the only place to stay in Cape Town. The personal touch is something that you just cannot get in hotels.

Our stay at Four Rosmead set our trip to South Africa off to a geat start. It is a beautiful house crammed with wonderful modern works of art. Our room had great views over the city and Table Mountain, but what made our stay special was the staff. They were so helpful, assisting you with planning your sightseeing, advising on and booking restaurants as well as giving helpful hints about all aspects of Cape Town. We had intended staying at one of the larger hotels, but made the correct decision to stay at Four Rosmead as we would never have received the level of personal service given by the whole team there.
