The Last Word Long Beach Hotel is situated in the picturesque lobster-fishing village of Kommetjie on Long Beach itself with
8km of uninterrupted white sandy beach on your doorstep. This is about 40 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. Each of the six ultra-luxurious suites was designed with comfort in mind. Decorated in hand-painted natural fabrics with tranquil blues and salmon pinks against a warm ivory background - the suites echo the colours of its exquisite coastal setting. Each suite has New England-style white wooden shutters that open right back to frame the stunning Atlantic Ocean views. The upstairs bedrooms have private balconies overlooking the beach with views to Chapmans Peak and Hout Bay beyond, whilst from the downstairs suites, you can walk straight out onto the pool deck and onto the unspoilt sand dunes with a walkway down to the pristine white sandy beach below. Breakfast is served overlooking the pool deck and the beach, with a freshly prepared lunch and dinner available on request in the Long House's elegant dining room.

The Last Word Long Beach is perfect for honeymooners and all romantics. Cape Town is surprisingly lacking in hotels which lead straight onto a beach - they can practically be counted on the fingers of one hand - and the Last Word Long Beach probably has the most secluded and romantic beach location in all of Cape Town. The Long Beach is so small and intimate, with only six luxury suites, that it can also be taken as an exclusive use villa to share with family or friends.

However please note that the Last Word Long Beach is squarely on the Cape Peninsula rather than in Cape Town itself. What the Long Beach offers is a coastal retreat rather than a city experience though it's only 40 minutes to get to the V&A Waterfront. Though the famous Long Beach is not a swimming beach, due to the strong currents, it is perfect for beach walks, kayaking and even horse riding. From July to November you may be lucky to spot the Southern Right whales as they come into the bay to calve. From the Last Word Long Beach, it is an easy drive to the stunning coastal scenery at the Cape Point National Park, the penguins at Boulders Beach and the many trendy restaurants of Simonstown and Kalk Bay are only 10 minutes away.
