All flights arrive into Mahé, the hub of the Seychelles and home to 90% of its population. In contrast to the pared down lifestyle of the smaller islands, Mahé could almost be described as bustling and even has nightlife of sorts.

This is the ideal island for the active, as watersports centres, dive centres, game fishing and yacht charters abound. The forested mountainsides are full of superb walking trails to waterfalls and viewpoints. In a few days on Mahé, you could visit the botanical gardens in Victoria or the less well-known Jardin du Roi, go diving or simply laze on one of the 75 beaches!
