Kulala Wilderness Camp is located on the 21,000ha Kulala Private Reserve of desert plains and rugged mountains with spectacular views of the stars over the Namib Desert. Kulala camp is east-facing and built at the foot of a mountain. The main Camp dining area, bar and reception are built from canvas with thatched roofing and are linked to the tented suites by means of elevated pathways. At night, lanterns light the main area.

Kulala Wilderness Camp accommodation is in the form of six en-suite Meru-style tents, elevated on wooden decks. The interiors are simple yet comfortable and have solar-powered lighting, ceiling fans and hot water. The crystal clear water of the Kulala Wilderness Camp swimming pool is a relief from the Namibian midday temperatures.

Kulala Wilderness Camp shares a unique private entrance to the Park with its sister camp, Kulala Desert Lodge. This gives great access to some of the highest sand dunes in the world, and is used for their 4x4 guided dune excursions. It ensures that you get the best light for those inevitable, and irresistible, photographs of the Namibian dunes at sunrise.

On the edge of the oldest desert in the world, game is sparse but fascinating. Springbok, gemsbok, ostrich, bat-eared fox and aardwolf can all be viewed. In the afternoon nature drives and walks are on offer. Kulala's sundowner drives are not to be missed whilst night drives will seek out the elusive nocturnal creatures of the desert such as aardwolf. Hot air ballooning or scenic flights are offered as optional extras to make the most of your travels.
