Mushara Lodge has a prime position 8km from Etosha National Park and is known for its delicious Namibian cuisine and friendly efficient service. Named after the purple pod tree which is called the 'Mushara' in the Ovambo language, Mushara lodge has 13 spacious en suite thatched chalets (including one family suite and two single rooms). Each has air-conditioning, mosquito nets, minibar and telephone. The main building at Mushara lodge is very spacious with high ceilings. The expanse of space has been divided using wooden screens to create cosy seating areas with leather sofas, kilims, throws and Namibian paintings.
Mushara Lodge is known for delicious meals which are offered on the terrace or in the dining room accompanied by white linen, candles and fine South African wines. There's a welcoming sizeable swimming pool with sun loungers for relaxing in between morning and afternoon game drives into Etosha.
You can use your rental car for game drives into Etosha or you can join one of Mushara's mornings and afternoon guided game drives into Etosha National Park. These are in open top 4x4 vehicles and so are very popular. Children are welcome at Mushara Lodge and are accommodated in the family suite.
