Mashatu 3 night 4 day Walking Safaris Delete
How better to experience this magnificent wildlife wonderland than on foot!

The land of the giants offers an African walking safari like none other. Witness the habits of the wild animals of Africa; learn about the hidden secrets of nature; find the smaller creatures concealed in their bush homes; see how the eco-system involves the interactions of species; and track down an animal by following its’ footprints. Experience the sounds of the nocturnal creatures of the African bush in rustic wilderness camps. Take part in story telling around the camp fire at night and share your bush experiences with fellow hikers on the trip. Enjoy a delicious meal after a day filled with adventure before falling into bed in anticipation of the next adventurous day. Satellite camp sites are set up in specific locations throughout the Mashatu wilderness. Accommodation is in dome tents (or under the stars for the more adventurous) on comfortable stretchers. Facilities include a bucket shower, and “bush-WC” (not complete without spade) - most importantly – enjoy every amenity afforded by Mother Nature! The Kgotla is an old tribal court, relocated to Mashatu and now used as a wilderness camp. It is built from leadwood poles in the sandstone formations of the Limpopo basin and is equipped with running water ablutions and hot showers. The Kgotla provides an exciting night out.  Read more...
