Hemingways Hotel faces the clear waters and white sands of Watamu Bay, 20 miles south of Malindi in Kenya, voted by The Sunday Times as 'one of the world's top 10 beaches'. The area is fascinating and beautiful, with marvellous coral reefs and the ancient and archaeologically puzzling Gedi ruins to be explored. Spectacular coral gardens are just 2km from the hotel but the coral reef begins within 5 metres of the shoreline directly in front of Hemingways.

Hemingways comprises 78 luxury rooms and suites all within sound of the breakers, all having views of the ocean. The simply furnished, spacious rooms have balconies, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and mini bar, twin or double beds and en suite bathrooms with showers. Several can take extra beds for families.
