| Best time to go: | Anytime other than the 'long rains' from late March to early June. August is the coolest period and you should catch the Migration in the Mara. December to mid March are the warmest time. There are merits in visiting during the short rains from late October to March. Few roads are affected, the parks are fresh and green and there are fewer people and vehicles. Rain usually falls in the late afternoon preceded by bright, sunny and fresh days. |
| Minimum number: | 2 |
| Health requirements: | Anti-malaria precautions essential |
| Climate: | Kenya has a very even, pleasant climate with altitude variations. It's cool in the Highlands; elsewhere it can reach approximately 35° C during the day; the coast is humid and balmy. |
| Notes: | This safari operates 'on request' and subject to availability. A baggage restriction of 15kg per person is applicable on all small aircraft, preferably in soft bags. |
This Kenya safari tour combines the beach with two great natural wonders; the icon of Mount Kilimanjaro seen from Amboseli National Park and massed herds of wildebeest, zebra and giraffe to be witnessed in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Three nights are spent at two different Cheli & Peacock Camps with an overnight to relax in Nairobi, before the start of the safari. The last three days are spent in the Lamu Archipelago, staying on Manda Island.
