Zambia, blessed with some of the finest wildlife experiences and one of Africa’s greatest rivers, is the essence of raw Africa. A Zambian safari offers authentic game reserves, such as the South Luangwa National Park, the Lower Zambezi, the North Luangwa and Kafue. A safari in Zambia is appealing to those hungry for an intimate safari experience in a pristine wildlife environment, whether by open 4x4 game vehicle, by canoe or on foot.
An atmosphere of adventure and exploration is all-pervasive. Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is another of Zambia's myriad attractions.

| Zambia Safaris - when and where in Zambia |
|
We recommend that a first safari to Zambia should focus on the South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls. Other safari highlights include Kafue National Park and the North Luangwa Park (for walking safaris). Bird-watchers will delight in Lochnivar National Park whilst romantics could fall in love with the dramatic story behind Shiva N'gandu.
Victoria Falls is marvellous all year round (but best from April to Sept), but most of Zambia is ‘closed’ during the rainy season from mid November to March. However parts of the South Luangwa National Park accessible all year round. From April onwards roads are remade into more remote areas, so that seasonal camps can re-open for the dry season, usually from May and June to October.
