Mauritius Safaris and Tours Home / Mauritius
Mauritius boasts a coral-fringed coastline of white beaches and pretty bays. Inland it is a mix of jagged mountain scenery countered by lush green sugar plantations. The island offers long safe, sandy beaches and superb water sports, particularly scuba diving and deep-sea fishing. Non-divers can don helmet and weights for an undersea walk, take a submarine descent or enjoy a glass-bottom boat trip. Most resort hotels offer the full range of watersports such as water-skiing, scuba diving, pedal boats, jet skiing and even parasailing.

Diverse cultures, Hindu, Muslim, Chinese and European, coexist happily and the various religious rites and festivals lend an additional fascination and colour to life on the island. It’s not hard to see why the world’s beautiful people have been flocking to Mauritius in ever increasing numbers. The island excels at five-star luxury hotels and unsurpassed resort retreats, which offer excellent food, service and value for money. Mauritius is easily accessible with direct flights from London, Johannesburg (4 hours) and Cape Town. The island has year-round appeal, but the weather is best from April to June and then from September to November. November to April are the best months for diving and fishing.
