Notes:	The youngest age is 16 years, however the Young Explorere Family Safari is an option for families with younger children. The camps is usually booked on an Exclusive Use basis however you can join other people already booked at the camp as long as you are prepared to book for the same length of walking safari.

On our Footsteps in Africa Walking Safari, you enjoy one of the great, untamed regions of Africa, the spectacular Okavango Delta in Botswana, and experience the astonishing contrasts created when the mighty Okavango River flows into the arid Kalahari Desert. The result is a variety of habitats, riverine forest, palm islands, permanent swamps and dry sandveld all with an unparalleled wealth of animal diversity. This traditional safari maintains the elegance and of the original ‘under canvas Africa safari’. The emphasis on this three day safari is on exploring this breathtakingly beautiful and diverse environment as the first African explorers did, either by mokoro or on foot.

You stay at Footsteps Across the Delta Camp on the Shinde Concession in the Okavango Delta. This consists of three insect-proof dome tents, with sewn-in floors and proper beds, a private bucket shower and bush toilet for each tent, a game-viewing platform and a bush kitchen with meals cooked over the camp fire.

The Footsteps walking safari combines well with the luxuries offered by either Shinde Camp or Kanana Camp. Many of our clients follow a three night walking safari with two nights at a safari camp enjoying the contrasting safari experience. Similarly flexibility is key at Footsteps – this walking safari can be extended to make a four night safari if you prefer.
