Vumbura Plains is divided into two adjacent 14 bedded camps in the far north of the Okavango delta. Each has its own raised dining, lounge and bar area beneath a canopy of shady indigenous trees. The impressively-appointed chalets are spacious; raised off the ground with a large deck complete with plunge pool, a large contemporary bedroom, lounge, en suite bathroom with outdoor shower and a sala for afternoon siestas. The Dolphin trail offers the first luxury hiking trail along the Tsitsikamma coastline, a beautiful part of the Garden Route. The trail comprises a two-day, 20 km hike from Forest Ferns, on the banks of the Sanddrif River, to the Storm’s River Mouth in the Tsitsikamma National Park. Trained field guides unlock the mysteries of nature and marine life to the hikers, who are encouraged to cool off in the tidal pools of the Indian Ocean and explore them with snorkelling gear.
