Overview
Mosselberg on Grotto is a luxurious contemporary coastal retreat with spectacular views of the majestic Mosselberg mountains. The lodge lies within easy walking distance (via the coastal path) to the glorious Blue Flag Grotto beach in Hermanus. From June to November you can see the Southern Right whales from your bedroom!
Designed by an award-winning architect, Mosselberg on Grotto is arranged around an inner courtyard with a heated pool. There’s a huge deck on the sea side.
There are just five rooms to choose from, three with sea views and two with mainly mountain views but some views to the sea from the side. (Think non sea view). The massive Southern Right suite doubles as a honeymoon suite. It has a spectacular view of the bay with windows which open right out. All the other rooms are very spacious as well and differ only with the view. Each room has its own balcony and the option of having king-size or two single beds. All the rooms are luxuriously appointed with mini bar, coffee/tea facilities, safe, television, under floor heating, ceiling fans and complimentary internet access. Full en suite bathrooms all have bath and shower, twin basins and heated towel rails.
The main living areas are a combination of indoor and outdoor living with indoor open plan lounge, curtesy bar breakfast area and interactive kitchen. The inviting outdoor living area overlooks the dune vegetation. Superb continental and English breakfasts are served on the deck or on the veranda around the pool. Dinner is also offered by prior arrangement. TGCSA 5 star guesthouse.
