Mont Rochelle hotel has a dramatic hillside setting at the top of the Franschhoek valley, with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding blue-purple mountains and vineyards.
Accommodation
The elegant thatched five star Mont Rochelle hotel has 16 rooms and 6 suites ranging in size and style, situated in three different wings of the hotel giving you the feeling of being in a private manor house. Each is individually decorated with air-conditioning, satellite television, dvd player, bathrobes, minibar, tea/coffee facilities and underfloor heating. The Shiraz and Merlot rooms have courtyard or valley views whilst the Cabernet rooms have valley views and private terraces. The Pinotage suites have valley views from the bedroom and lounge areas. The Cap Classique suites have private terraces or courtyard gardens with plunge pools and king-size beds.
You have a choice of two restaurants with the signature Miko Restaurant and the more relaxed Country Kitchen restaurant. The Country Kitchen is joined to the wine cellar, and is ideal for delicious lunches and light meals, or relaxed dinners (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights only). Other amusements in this spacious hotel include the colonial cigar bar, wine cellar and wellness facilities at the pool with a sauna, jacuzzi and gym. Relax by the swimming pool, enjoy a drink at the pool bar or enjoy gentle country pursuits such as walking, mountain biking or horse-riding in the vineyards or trout fishing in one of the dams at Mont Rochelle.

Shiraz Room
There are four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds and all feature courtyard or valley views. All beds can be made up with twin beds on request. The Shiraz rooms can be found in the Garden wing and Manor house wing of the hotel. What to expect to find in the room? The six Merlot Rooms which are larger than the Shiraz Rooms can be found in the Garden wing and Manor house wing of the hotel, and also boast king-size beds with valley views.
