Le Quartier Français in the Cape Winelands offers a ambiance combined with a 'Cape Provencal' style in the village of Franschhoek with easy access to boutiques, cafes and galleries.
This boutique hotel is set around a garden with a central swimming pool.
The 15 rooms, 6 suites and private villa are spacious and well-furnished with modern fittings, vibrant colours and hand-painted fabrics.
All have air-conditioning, complimentary wifi, flat screen TV, dvd player, underfloor heating, wood burning fireplaces, extra large beds, nepresso coffee machines, Egyptian cotton linen, bathrooms with separate shower and bath and large sitting areas.
The House Suite and Pool Suite are the original suites at Le Quartier Français. Each with sitting room, separate bedroom, loft bedroom for two children, large dressing room and a courtyard garden with private pool.
Le Quartier Français has added the Four Quarters Suites. This is perfect for honeymoon couples and those just wanting to really treat themselves.
The four luxurious suites are decorated in a contemporary style. Two with vivid colours and patterning, and two with the more earthy warm colours of Africa. Each has a large lounge, walk-in dressing room and decadent bathroom.
The Four Quarters suites are set apart from the rest of the hotel with their own butler and swimming pool set in a courtyard, The Petite.
The rates for all rooms and suites include complimentary minibar drinks.
Food and restaurants at Le Quartier Français
The boutique hotel is widely known for its excellent cuisine and is a great base for 'foodies'.
The Tasting Room is widely recognized as one of the best restaurants in Africa and it has won numerous awards and offers a 5 or 8 course tasting menu. A specially paired wine is offered for each course on the eight course menu.
You can relax in either the Reading room or the Lounge bar where you can enjoy cocktails, craft beers and a tapas bar menu, both inside and outside.
Le Quartier Français also offers a selection of cooking classes from bread-making to charcuterie to sweet tarts.
Other features of Le Quartier includes the Treatment Room offering an indulgent ranges of options, the Screening Room cinema seating 35 people whilst the particularly stylish shop, B Gorgeous, offers a range of goods specially sourced from all over Africa.

Auberge Room
Individually styled with modern touches, these rooms are approximately 40m²/430ft² in size and boast extra spacious seating areas and spectacular views of either the central courtyard and its swimming pool or the surrounding mountains. These all feature en-suite bathrooms with both baths and walk-in showers and some have a sleeper couch for families traveling with children.
Grande Room
Each room is generously spacious at 50m²/538ft² in size. Situated around the main auberge these rooms enjoy views of the main pool area and majestic Franschhoek mountains. Bathrooms are contemporary with modern fittings including underfloor heating.
Petite Garden Suite
These suites are 45m²/484ft² and 40m²/430ft² in size and look out onto their own secret corner garden. Luxurious en-suite bathrooms feature granite tops, walk-in showers and double vanities.
Pool Suites
At approximately 80m²/861ft² in size, these suites with their private walled gardens and secluded pools are perfect for honeymoon couples or families, as they feature sleeper couches. Both suites have a bath and a shower.
Four Quarter Suite
Set around a private courtyard, each sumptuously decorated and generously proportioned suite is 110m²/1 184ft² in size, and features a separate lounge, a walk-in dressing room, full en-suite bathroom, super king-size bed and double sofa bed for children.
