Food is a passion at Andries Stockenstroom in the historic town of Graaff Reinet and this award-winning guesthouse in the Eastern Cape is famous for its Karoo style haute cuisine. It is personally managed by owners, Andre and Beatrice, who invite their guests to enjoy magnificent cuisine and delightful hospitality. The lodge is a gracious old manor house with six cosy en suite rooms, all air-cooled and elegantly furnished. There are three standard twin rooms with shower en suite and 3 deluxe rooms at the back of the house overlooking the pool which have a small sitting area and a full bathroom with bath and shower. Relax on the pool terrace or in the lounge.
Graaff Reinet is a delightful old town full of Cape Dutch and Victorian architecture. A visit to the famous valley of Desolation within the Karoo Nature Reserve, and to the Owlhouse at Nieu Bethesda, is also highly recommended. Graaff Reinet is only a short drive to the private game reserves of the Eastern Cape and a scenic drive over the Tsitsikamma mountains to the Garden Route.

Choose Andries Stockenstroom if you enjoy good food as well as exploring off the beaten track in a beautiful unspoilt part of South Africa. One of our consultants will gladly help you with any questions you may have.
Mr W, Cumbria, November: "It was after our first dinner at Andries that we began to suspect there must be a conspiracy built into your arrangements to make sure that each Cedarberg client puts on at least a stone - the food was FANTASTIC! Again you need to advise your clients that Beatrice is one of the top chefs in South Africa. (Editor's note - see our new description above!) Our room was delightful and quite unique. The town's museums were excellent though we were slightly disapointed with the Karoo Nature Reserve. All in all an excellent establishment offering superb food and superior accommodation."
