Khwai River Lodge, in the Okavango Delta, lies under a canopy of ancient leadwood and fig trees, overlooking the Khwai River floodplains, which form a natural boundary with Moremi to the south. Accommodation is in 15 large and airy air-conditioned tents under thatch, each with a shaded deck. The public areas consist of a thatched dining room, bar and lounge, a heated pool and a secluded viewing platform overlooking the river. Activities are land-based, with game drives into Moremi providing superb game-viewing. Lion and leopard sightings are consistently good, with excellent birdlife as well. Night drives outside the reserve allow you to view lesser-known nocturnal game by spotlight.
