Nsefu Camp | Zambia

[Zambia Hotels and Accommodation]
Nsefu Camp in the South Luangwa National Park is one of Robin Pope Safaris excellent camps. This stylish and utterly charming camp in the exclusive Nsefu sector overlooks the river and floodplain where game often grazes during the day and leopard are often spotted at night. This was among the first camps in the park, but the spacious rondavels have been skilfully remodelled with an open-air en suite bathroom/dressing rooms added. Large windows and wooden verandas offer superb views of the river. The bar and communal area are tucked in under a huge extinct termite mount. An affable team offer great hospitality and game viewing on foot and on day and night drives. Sister camps, Tena Tena (7 luxury tents) and Nkwali (6 chalets), have equally captivating locations.

Ginny stayed at Nsefu:
"Nsefu was terrific. It is the original 1950s rondavels skillfully remodeled with open air en suite bathroom/dressing rooms added at the back and wooden decks added at the front. So although the bedroom is necessarily small as they were not allowed to rebuild, the rooms are all very charming and particularly light and airy and this totally compensates for the size. It has a particularly affable team of guides (Dave, Matt, Jacob and Dowdie) and camp staff led by Noodles.

This is a cracking wildlife area with the particular benefit of being an enclosed ecosystem so that there are several endemic sub-species. The other great advantage of South Luangwa is that it is phenomenally pretty. We felt that it was as attractive as the Okavango Delta and the guiding ranked with the very best I have experienced too."
