Grumeti River Lodge, in the Serengeti, is a prime location for witnessing the annual migration in June and July, though game-viewing remains excellent all year. The camp overlooks a lily-strewn river, with resident grunting hippos, and is backed by lush riverine trees. The ten spacious tented suites under thatch are vibrantly furnished with Kente cloth and are en suite, with open air shower and private deck.
