Vuyatela is a luxury all-suite camp with 8 air-conditioned 'kayas' within the Sabi Sands.
It has long been a favourite among our clients who prefer a more casual, laid-back style of safari with the emphasis on an all-round experience rather than on ticking species off a 'must see' list. The safari experience allows unparalleled sightings of South Africa’s Big Five, as well as cheetah, hyena, jackal, buck, giraffe, and zebra. It also offers the unique opportunity to learn about the history of the reserve and how the indigenous people once lived alongside the animals.
Vuyatela has an innovative design bringing in the diverse architectural styles seen in contemporary African villages. The main lodge is beautiful, with an expansive teak deck overlooking an active waterhole where resident elephants often come to drink. It has some quirky features: a bird watching tower, a 'shebeen' bar, a gym and relaxation room and a giant aquarium. Each spacious kaya has a separate sitting room, stylish bedroom and a funky bathroom, all furnished with contemporary African and township art. The large wooden deck offers an outdoor shower, private plunge pool and teak day beds. Children welcome with two extra beds placed in each suite. TGCSA 5 star lodge.

Fred and Sue Nickson, Feb: "Wonderful place! We loved it there. Enthusiastic, friendly staff, lovely food. They seemed to manage to create an easy, relaxed atmosphere at the same time as being very efficient.Partcular praise for our guide Solly and tracker Aubrey who were excellent and very knowledgeable. Back at the airport, we met an Australian who has been at Vuyatela and then another game lodge and she was full of praise for Vuyatela."
