Villas Paul et Virginie, close to Grand Gaube, is named in honour of a semi-fictional love story associated with the area. All 81 air-conditioned rooms are sea facing and have telephone, safe, minibar, hair-dryer and television with video channels. There are two restaurant bars, one of them on the beach. The hotel also has a beauty salon and a boutique.
Sailing, glass-bottom boat, canoeing, dive centre, tennis, volleyball, bicycles and a mini-gym are among the amenities. Complimentary activities include a trip on a glass-bottomed boat to view the coral reefs and amazing sea life. Pedalos, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and snorkelling also available. Guest can also hire bicycles and scuba diving, water-skiing, and deep-sea fishing are all available at a nominal fee. For those aged 4 to 12, there is a Kids Club. An all-inclusive option is also available.

This is a good value 3+ star hotel nestled next to the picturesque village of Grand Gaube on the Island’s North- East Coast. This wonderful 81 room hotel has a high regard for personal service. The rooms are all sea-facing and our room had glorious views of the ocean, the beautifully kept garden with palm trees and one of the two swimming pools and the hotel’s small private beach.
My Opinion: I really loved the hotel because of its natural Mauritian hospitality and the overall friendliness and passion that shines through the staff. It has most of the amenities and services you will get in a 5 star hotel but the beach is small and you would need to add some excursions for variety. A visit to Isle aux Cerfs on the east coast is a good idea as you can spend most of the day lying in perfect blue, turquoise water or on a soft sandy beach. Another very nice beach that is close by to visit is Mont Choisy on the North West Coast. Paul and Virginie is a small modest hotel and perfect for clients that still want the small extras Mauritius has to offer."
