Damaraland Camp lies in the remote Huab river valley Damaraland, an area of rugged scenery and endless vistas. The camp integrates the local community, the environment and the wildlife. Highlights include nature walks and 4x4 game drives in search of the rare desert elephant and rhino as well as gemsbok, springbok and other hardy desert animals. Strange plants play host to even stranger insects and your guide brings insight to the questions of survival in this unique environment. Visits to Twyfelfontein and to the local community are also on offer.
Comfortable walk-in Meru tents have en-suite facilities (with flush toilets and hot showers) and shaded verandas. The main area comprises a comfortable lounge/dining area and bar, and a unique rock pool at the foot of a waterfall. Dining is an evocative experience in a traditional boma around an open campfire.

Peter steyed here in June 2007: "I was really taken with the simplicity of the formula here: compact Camp in a stunning location, spectacular views from the comfortable but restrained tented accommodation, and the harmonious involvement of the local community."
"The boma is set a short walk away from the Camp and the torch-lit walk there sets up a wonderful feeling of remoteness. The other highlight for me was our morning cycle ride down to the airstrip to catch a charter flight up to the far north of the country - I love being on a bike at the best of times but rarely have I enjoyed such awesome landscape on two wheels."
