Set in the exclusive 11,500 ha Thornybush Private Game Reserve, the Royal Malewane offers a quiet yet sophisticated colonial elegance and style. Each of the six private suites is surrounded by its own spacious deck with a private plunge pool overhung by Lanternbush trees. Each suite has a large air-conditoned bedroom/sitting room with open fireplace, minibar, four poster bed and extravagant bathroom with a Victorian bath and indoor/outdoor showers.
Two presidential suites offer the height of contemporary luxury with two en suite bedrooms and a large sitting room and dining area. These suites have their own private chef, who prepares meals in the suite’s kitchen, as well as their own ranger/tracker. Two extra beds can be placed in the suites to accommodate families up to six.
The main lodge houses a library, dining and reception area, all furnished with interesting African and eastern artifacts. Accompanied by highly skilled game rangers and trackers, guests are taken on early-morning and evening game drives in search of the Big Five. For the more adventurous explorer, a guided game walk provides an exhilarating safari experience. With a staff to guest ratio of better than 1 to 1, Royal Malewane offers personal service of the highest order.
The latest addition is the stylish Malewane Spa which is set a little away from the main lodge with relaxation salas, various treatment rooms, gym, Turkish baths and sauna.
