Madikwe Safari Lodge | South Africa

[South Africa Hotels and Accommodation]
Madikwe Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the richly diverse and malaria-free 76 000ha Madikwe Game Reserve - one of South Africa's biggest wildlife sanctuaries.
Set on a gentle slope nestled between two rolling hills, Madikwe Safari Lodge overlooks game-filled plains with the Dwarsberg Hills in the distance and the Marico River nearby. Madikwe Safari Lodge comprises three intimate camps with just 16 suites in total, decorated in a simple yet sophisticated Madikwe style.

Each suite features a comfortable sitting area, romantic circular fireplace in the bedroom and spacious dressing area. The beautiful en suite bathroom has a large bath, twin basins and indoor and outdoor showers. French doors open onto a wooden deck leading to an inviting plunge pool. Interiors are designed in earthy tones. The public areas offer lots of shaded outdoor seating on expansive covered decks. Pleasant book-filled shelves in quiet corners complete the guest experience. The outdoor boma offers evocative starlit dinners.

Children are welcome and maximum one child and one infant may share with parents in a triple room.

Peter Riley and Family, July 2005:
"The highlight was undoubtedly Madikwe; wonderful location, fabulous people and wonderful sights and memories. A great choice and one that we will do again one day without doubt. Our particular lodge only opened the week before we started, and was sumptuous."
