Sefapane Lodge is situated on a beautiful area of natural bushveld on the edge of Phalaborwa, only 3 minutes from the Kruger National Park gates. The lodge has two parts. The original lodge comprises a group of African style rondavels under shady trees, all simply furnished with air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom (no television). There are some large family rondavels with two extra bedrooms for children. The large swimming pool with charming sunken pool bar is a unique feature of the lodge and theres a pleasant restaurant serving a good range of meals. There is a bird hide at one of the dams allowing you to watch the colourful bird life undetected.
The newest part of Sefapane is a collection of self-catering chalets on the other side of the three beautiful dams. Guests staying here have the flexibility of cooking for themselves or enjoying the lodge restaurant and other facilities. Each chalet is on two levels with two ensuite bedrooms downstairs (each identical so suitable for friends travelling together) as well as a third open plan loft bedroom with another double bed and extra single beds as well as a third shower room downstairs. It is fully equipped with kitchen, television, lounge, outside sitting and dinning area on a large deck with lagoon views.
One of the charming aspects of Sefapane is that in addition to exploring the Kruger National Park under your own steam, you can also book a number of safaris and excursions such as morning, full day or evening open vehicle game drives, bush braais in the Kruger Park, river cruises along the game-rich Balule river and excursions to Tzaneen and the Blyde River.

We recommend Sefapane for value for money accommodation and a range of excellent excursions in addition to self-driving in the Kruger. One of our consultants will gladly help you with any further questions.
Kate stayed here with her Family in July 2006: "Sefopane now has two completely different parts to it. The original lodge is simple, comfortable and well priced. The rooms are fairly plain but excellent value for money.
The lodge has recently expanded through the building of some self-contained chalets around a series of three beautiful lagoons (sleeping up to 7/8 people) which can be rented out on a self-catering basis. These are much smarter than the lodge accommodation and perfect for families and friends. Recommended."
