Jatinga Country Lodge is situated on the outskirts of White River, close to the Kruger National Park and also easy driving distance to the new Kruger Park Airport. The original 1920’s homestead is nestled in over 30 acres of magnificent gardens with the White River running through the bottom of the property. Jatinga prides itself on its excellent cuisine (and is a member of The Good Cooks of South Africa association) and its impeccable service.
Furnished in a mix of styles from colonial to ‘English country’, the lodge has 16 superior rooms and 4 luxury suites. All rooms are very spacious with en-suite bathrooms with showers and private patios and each offers guests a unique experience from outdoor showers in the Victorian rooms to open fire places in other suites. They are happy to accept children and offer a separate children’s menu. One child can share with parents in the superior rooms and two children in the suites.

Mari and Petru stayed at Jatinga in July 2006: "In many ways, Jatinga is as nice as Cybele and makes for a good alternative if your budget doesn’t quite stretch to Cybele. It offers a beautiful romantic garden and setting, excellent food and lacke only the Spa and gym (which they are planning to build for 2007). The new Superior rooms in which we stayed have a 'English' cottage feeling with high ceilings, inside and outside showers and are very spacious- but they are quite close to each other so for honeymooners I would recommend one of their luxury suites. There are lots of nice little touches at Jatinga. Tea is served in the sitting room at 4pm every day and at 6pm they bring champagne and canapes to your room, (both complimentaty) so you really feel spoilt. I also recommend their homemade ice cream at dinner! Given its location, Jatinga is ideal if you are catching an early morning flight from the Kruger Airport (perhaps to connect with a morning flight to Victoria Falls. Airport transfers are also included in their rates. Jatinga is highly recommended."
