Kate visited Colona Castle in July: "I visited Colona Castle a few years ago and at that point the owners’ collection of objets d’art and antiques was so extensive that it detracted from the ambience. However her fascinating collection is now more under control and the lodge is looking stunning. However this lodge is not for someone looking for a clean cut contemporary look! The rooms all vary extensively in size, amenities and price – the suites are very spacious and luxuriously furnished with antiques, however there are some very attractive superior rooms which are suitable for more modest budgets as well."
