O on Kloof is a luxurious boutique guest lodge, unashamedly contemporary in feel. The use of water in the courtyard garden gives a zen-like feeling of tranquillity despite its vibrant city location. Some rooms have views over Seapoint to the Ocean; others have garden views. The luxurious honeymoon suite has a private sundeck with Jacuzzi and glorious Lion’s Head, city and sea views. All have TV, telephone, air-conditioning, bathrobes, minibar and stylish bathrooms. There’s a sun-drenched terrace for alfresco breakfasts and relaxing, as well as a large indoor heated pool and gym. Kate visited in Sept 05: "O on Kloof is in a good part of Bantry Bay. Very smart, modern and contemporary in a gleaming sort of way. Personally I’d either go for value for money with the two standard rooms or go upmarket with the highest category of rooms. There are two standard rooms – one is relatively small with a partial sea view. The other is on the lower ground level with a private patio but no view. This rooms opens off the indoor swimming pool area. It is much more private and good for honeymooners wanting a late night swim, but you also feel a little more cut off from the rest of the lodge which may be a good or bad thing depending on your taste."
