Gombe Tented Camp (sister lodge to Nkungwe Tented Camp in Mahale) - is situated in the north end of the park, on the lakeshore. Tents are made of heavy-duty canvas with zip down gauze windows and roll-up flap doors. Each tent is furnished with twin wooden beds with firm mattress, desk, chair, bedside lamp and clothes rack. All tents are en suite, and are raised on wooden platforms to offer perfect views of the lake and the sunset. Allow at least two days for chimpanzee trekking, hiking and swimming in Africa's least-polluted freshwater lake.
