The Cellars-Hohenort | South Africa

[South Africa Hotels and Accommodation]
The Cellars-Hohenort is a gracious period hotel set in beautiful landscaped gardens in the historic Constantia Valley. This luxurious hotel, a restored Cape Dutch homestead, is filled with fine antiques and original art, and has two excellent restaurants including the acclaimed Cape Malay restaurant. The rooms and suites, including the new addition - the Dovecote Honeymoon Suite - are decorated with immaculate taste. Outside, within its lush rose-filled garden, are two swimming pools, a putting green, a tennis court and a Wellness centre. The nearby Cecilia forest offers wonderful walking and yet the city is only 15 minutes away. The double rooms are comfortable imbued with ‘Cellars’ charm and offering a picturesque medley of views. 5 star Hotel. Member of Relais et Chateaux.

Mr M, England, Feb 2004:
"Excellent hotel: very helpful staff, they even had one member of staff available to give advice on making the most of our stay. The food was excellent - I had three memorable meals. Overall score was 10/10.

Kate Bergh stayed at Cellars recently: "I really enjoyed the Cellars - it is an immensely romantic hotel set in stunning gardens with vineayrds beyond. The rooms are decorated in classical style but this gracious ambience is brought into the 21st century by well-thought out use of glass 'walls' in the restaurant to emphasise the gardens as much as possible and also by the new contemporary, and rather funky, bar. Highly recommended!"
