Lion and cheetah are often seen here and the area is resplendent with game. Then, from June to November, resident animals converge on Ndutu's waterholes and marshes - elephants, giraffes, impalas, every kind of cat and a profusion of birds. Welcoming, friendly and comfortable, the privately owned lodge is tucked away off the beaten track in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It offers great service, excellent home-cooked food and the thirty-two en suite stone cottages are unpretentious. Animals wander through the lodge grounds, so even when you are not out on a game drive you can still view the wildlife from the comfort of your veranda.
